find with the bark that goes all
the way around! It Has lots of
figure through out the piece.
It measures at it's widest
points 13 1/2" long 3 1/2" tall
the bowl inside is 6 1/4" wide.
Finish is Gel Poly and Buffed.

This Piece came from a tree
that was Taken down by
Hurricane Katrina. That a
friend gave me that lives in
MS. It has a large bark
inclusion and some nice curl
that makes this piece extra
nice and uniqe!

all its beauty in just one picture!

Turners Statement:
I enjoy all the steps in turning from selectively choosing and
gathering my own salvaged wood that I harvest myself, to the
sensations of wet curls flying off a sharp gouge as I’m rough
turning a piece so it can be dried and ready for finish turning
and sanding later. I love working with unique wood, such as
voids, bark inclusions, bug infestation, burls, and crotches
and utilize what Mother Nature has provided me to work with,
and show her natural beauty and flaws to make that special
one of a kind piece that has its own unique character!
